Margie Louise Turner, age 70, of Big Sandy, Texas passed away on March 3, 2024. She was born August 4, 1953, in Martinez, California to Sol and Edith (Gibson) Cooksey.  

Other than her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Turner; siblings, J.W. Cooksey, Rita Moore, Betty Coates, Bobby Cooksey, Joyce Counts, and Gordon Cooksey. 

Loving survivors include her daughters, Wendy Wendt (Eric), and Margie Fagan (Michael); grandchildren, Cassy Fernandes (Tyler), Kylee Fernandez (David), Justin Wendt (Josefina), Kaelyn Battenfield (Skyler), and Kelyn Fagan; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Ben, Jackson, Liam and Luca; sisters, Connie Kemp and Shirley Wyatt; brother-in-law, Alex Battenfield; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of wonderful friends. 

Margie loved spending time with her husband and children whenever she had the chance. She also loved to cook and watch people enjoy the fruit of her labor. 

A celebration of Margie’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Glenwood First Assembly of God Church with Brother Bob Wyatt officiating.  

Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Jerry Wilson, Steve Wilson, Keith Counts, PJ Grafner, Tye Wilson, and Cory Wilson. 

Honorary pallbearers are Billy Cooksey, Shawn Kemp, and Robert Cooksey.
