Marguerite Bearden

Marguerite Bearden, age 86 of North Little Rock, passed away on March 19, 2013 in North Little Rock. She was born on November 16, 1926 in Higden, Arkansas and was the daughter of Fred and Alice Hooten.

Marguerite was a homemaker and an active member of Baring Cross Baptist Church, she was a musician in the band "The Has Beens", she enjoyed playing the drums, guitar and banjo as well as line dancing.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clabern Bearden, a brother Allen Hooten, and her parents.

Survivors include her daughter Shirley Hixson; grandsons Michael Hixson (Christina) and Brian Hixson (Jeannie) a great-grandson Flanagan Hixson and a step-great-grandchild Courtney Wilcoxson; sisters Freida Rigal and Doris Morehart; brothers Elmer Hooten and Ernest Hooten (Gayla) and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Shiloh Crossroads Cemetery in Greers Ferry.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Huson Funeral Home at 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
