Maria Kuntz Crone
It is with the greatest sadness that the family of Maria Elizabeth Kuntz Crone announce her passing. She entered her new journey on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
Those left to remember her love and kindness as well as mourn her passing are: her beloved husband, Jacob "Jake" Crone, whom were married on March 28, 2009. As well as her daughter, Zoey Elizabeth Pierce, with whom Maria had such pride and love, both of Pearcy, Ar. She was born to her parents, Terry and Sharon (Mitchell) Kuntz of Pearcy, on September 19,1970. She is also survived by her brother and his wife, Damon and Michale Kuntz of Bradford, TN; nephews, Ethan Kuntz and Joshua Kuntz, both of Nashville, TN; the relatives of Jake Crone, and many friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harold and Pauline Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Jim and Grace Kuntz; and uncle, Jim Kuntz Jr.
Maria graduated from Lake Hamilton High School and Henderson State University. Her purpose in life was to educate, show love, and creativity. She was an avid reader, enjoyed music, paper crafting, and writing poetry. Most of her life was filled with love for her family and each person she met throughout her life.
Marias work experiences were teaching at Lake Hamilton School, Otter Creek School, and Little Rock Arkansas Career Training Institute as a Vocational Instructor. She then worked with Medical Trial Baptist Health.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Pellegreno and staff, for their compassion during her two year and three month battle with cancer.
Another favorite place Maria loved going was the Electric Strawberry.
The family wishes to thank all of her friends and especially the Harding family for their love and kindness.
A special thanks to all of her doctors, nurses, and staff for their exceptional care.
A visitation will take place at the Smith Family Funeral Home -Hot Springs Chapel on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
A private family interment will be at a later time. Memorials may be made to Dolly Parton Imagination Library, and American Cancer Society.
