Marian Margaret Ebeling

Marian Margaret Ebeling, age 101, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2023.  She was born on January 12, 1922 in St. Charles, Missouri to the late John Hettich and Bertha Zumbehl Hettich.

Marian created a loving Christian home for her family and friends. Marian was a member of First Lutheran Church of Benton.  She was a church organist for over forty years.  Marian spent over thirty years volunteering at Saline Memorial Hospital, where she greeted everyone with a friendly smile.

Preceding Marian in death are her husband of forty-one years, Brandon Ebeling; daughter, Janet Johnson; parents, John and Bertha Hettich; brother, Paul Hettich; and son-in-law, Larry Black.

Marian leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters:  Anne Barnard and husband Marvin of Bryant, Arkansas, Elaine Black of Mount Ida, Arkansas, and Kim Sohl and husband Steven of Alexander, Arkansas; ten grandchildren:  Lara James and husband Lee, Brian Black and wife Leslie, Kristi McFarland and husband Jeff, Brent Black and wife Jennifer, Adam Barnard and wife Salinda, Sean Barnard and wife Anne, Joshua Sohl, Haley Hazen and husband Chris, Heidi Sohl, and Brandon Sohl; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of family members and friends who love Marian and will miss her always.

Services, officiated by Pastor James Burns will be held on Friday, December 22, at First Lutheran Church in Benton, Arkansas.  Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM followed by funeral service at 11:30 AM.  Burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church in Benton.
