Marian L. Morris age 68 of Arkadelphia died Monday, June 22, 2009 in Hot Springs. She was born May 13, 1941 the daughter of the late Millard (Slim) Watson and Louise Marian Meador Calhoun. Marian was a retired nurse and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Her husband, Benny Joe Morris preceded her in death in November of 2002.
Survivors include one son, Russell Morris and wife, Nadine of Little Rock, AR; three brothers, Richard Calhoun of Atlanta, GA; Joe Calhoun of Hot Springs, AR; Jackie Calhoun of Arkadelphia, AR; and two special dogs, Fancy and Cody.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Hargett officiating. Burial will follow at South Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Clark County Humane Society or to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
