Marietta Baldwin

Marietta Baldwin, age 81, of Glenwood, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017. She was born on July 1, 1936 in Glenwood, the daughter of Ralph Bardwell and Bertha Hazel White Bardwell. In 1956, she was married to Sidney Baldwin who preceded her in death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her son, Victor Baldwin, in 2015. Marietta worked as a pharmacy technician for Woodard Drug Store for many years. She also worked for Sears and for the Glenwood Senior Adult Center. She and her husband opened the Thrift Store in downtown Glenwood as a way of helping those in need. She loved music and played the organ and sang in the choir of the Glenwood United Methodist Church for many years. She and Sid were also members of the Caddo Quartet and had a Sunday morning radio program. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Joe Miller and Robin and Carl Barrett; five grandchildren, Alisha Mattingly, Andrew Miller, Jacob Barrett, Johnathon Baldwin and Jessica Miller; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Francis Bardwell; one brother-in-law, Bill Baldwin; and two sisters-in-law, Delois Shelton and Pat Baldwin. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 6, 2017, in the Bethel Cemetery with Bro. Glen Harris officiating.
