Marilyn McColgan

Marilyn McColgan, 77, of Austin, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, surrounded by her family at home. She was born June 19, 1945, to the late Cora Potts in London, England.

Marilyn met the love of her life, while attending nursing school, in 1964 when Jerry was in the Airforce stationed in England.  Marilyn loved being a wife and mother and nurse for over 50 years.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry McColgan; two children, Andrew Steven McColgan (Lucinda) of Beebe, Christie Ellen McFarlin (David) of Cabot; six grandchildren: Abigail, Taylor, and Hayden McFarlin, Jonathan and Jeremiah Owens, and Emily McColgan; and three great-grandchildren, Noah and Jonah Owens, and Madeleine McFarlin.

Memorial service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W DeWitt Henry Dr., Beebe, AR. Inurnment to follow at Dunkard Brethren Cemetery in Austin.
