Marion Tschiemer
Marion Davidson Millett Tschiemer, 89, of North Little Rock, went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 8, 2012.
She was born on June 22, 1923 to Alex and Julia Davidson in Little Rock, AR. After graduating with honors from Central High School, she attended the University of Illinois, where she met her husband Robert H. Millett. They were married on May 5, 1946 and moved to Boston where he studied architecture at MIT. Afterwards they settled in North Little Rock to raise two daughters.
Marion and Bob became very active in their faith after God brought them through a terrible battle with melanoma. Marion was pregnant with their second daughter when Bob had surgery to remove his arm. Together they overcame this hardship and dedicated their lives to church and community, nurturing a passion for God and His Word. They worked together to bring both Young Life and Bible Study Fellowship to Central Arkansas. Marion served as a teaching leader in BSF for over twenty years where she touched countless lives with both her teaching and her strong dependence on the Lord. When her husband's cancer returned in 1974, this time to take his life, her faith in God grew to meet the sorrow.
A widow for sixteen years, Marion lived life to the full, constantly studying and teaching the Bible. She loved to travel with friends and to visit her eight grandchildren, all of whom were born during this season. In 1990, she attended her fiftieth high school reunion where she was reunited with her high school sweetheart, George Tschiemer, who had recently been widowed. They were soon married and began a beautiful life together in which Marion gained a stepson and three more grandchildren. Together, Marion and George traveled all over the world, continued teaching the Bible, and hosted many family gatherings. In 2005, Marion lost George to cancer.
In her final years, Marion continued to inspire others to draw near to Jesus by staying involved in Bible Study and church. This fall she was leading a study on overcoming fear when she was diagnosed with cancer and was forced to lay down her pen. A favorite verse of hers was Isaiah 40:31, "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Marion is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Bobbie Jean Neumeister, and two husbands. She is survived by her brother, Alex Davidson Jr.; two daughters, Julie Loibner (Craig) and Jeanne Walker (Ron); her stepson, Ralph Tschiemer (Elizabeth); and by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Monday, December 10th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., North Little Rock.
