Marjorie Burress, 82, of Lexington, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2013, at her residence. She was born October 13, 1930, in Arkadelphia, AR, to the late Jewell Artist and Thelma Neighbors Hancock. In Magnolia, AR, she was a long time resident and an active member of Jackson Street Church of Christ. She was employed by and retired from Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
Survivors are her husband, L. T. Burress; one son, Wayne Burress and wife Karyl; one sister, Betty Hancock, all of Lexington, SC.; grandson, Chris Burress and wife Carrie, great granddaughter, Taylor Burress, great grandsons, Logan and Brady Burress, all of Alma, AR; granddaughter, Kelli Daniel and husband Lance, great grandson, Trevor Daniel and great granddaughter, Landrey Daniel, all of Lexington, SC. and a host of friends.
A memorial service followed by visitation will be Thursday, January 17, 2013, 7:00 pm. at Lexington Church of Christ in Lexington, SC. Due to a change in family travel arrangements, graveside service has been rescheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, January 20th at Bethsaida Cemetery in Amity, AR. under direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Russell Johnson will officiate.
