Marta Pipkin Davis, 74 of Benton, a beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted educator, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024. Marta’s life was defined by her deep love for her family, her commitment to education, and her boundless kindness. 

Born on August 19, 1950, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, Marta was the daughter of Fred and Jimmie Sue Pipkin. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University and then her master’s in education, embarking on a distinguished 47-year career in teaching.

Marta retired in 2019 as the Librarian at Benton High School. Marta was married to her loving husband, Dan Davis until his passing in 2014. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Lauren, and her husband Degen Clow, of Benton. Marta’s legacy continues through her four cherished grandchildren: Davis, Arden, McCall, and Greer Clow. She is also survived by her sister, Jan Hagler of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and extensive extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10:00 AM to Noon at Smith Benton Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas.

Marta will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will continue to inspire and uplift those she leaves behind. Marta lived a wonderful life and thank you to all who made it so.
