Martha Ella McCaslin

Martha Ella McCaslin, age 89, of Hot Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 18, 2021.

She was born on January 14, 1932, in Bismarck, the daughter of Wylie Abbott and Mattie Abbott. On June 19, 1951, she married Arthur Ray McCaslin, who preceded her in death on April 23, 2008, after 57 years of marriage. She is preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; and two sisters.

Martha was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Oaklawn Church of God. She enjoyed arts and crafts, music and dancing, long car rides and shopping at flea markets and thrift stores. She was a great cook and loved to can vegetables. She loved her family and her dog, Bella, and really enjoyed the Wednesday night dinners with her grandson and great-granddaughter. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Ray McCaslin and his wife, Ann, of Winters, Texas, and their sons Chris and Shane; her daughter Brenda Gail Bishop of Hot Springs, and her sons, Shawn and Wes; three great-grandchildren, Cadence, Evelyn and Colton; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 23, 2021, with Bro. Wendell Abbott officiating in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the McDowell Cemetery, Royal.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

Pallbearers will be Wes Bishop, Shawn Bishop, Ken McCaslin, Shane McCaslin, and Dan Lawniczak.
