Martha Jean Golden, age 70, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012. She was born on January 15, 1942, at Maumelle Creek, the daughter of Oscar Powers and Willie McNeely Powers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepson, Calvin David Golden, Jr. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was Baptist in her faith. She is survived by her husband, Calvin David Golden of Little Rock; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bob, Jr. and Tracie Johnson, Brett S. and Margaret Johnson and Bartt and Amy Johnson, all of Bigelow; two stepdaughters, Teresa Massar of Maumelle and Dr. Susan Nelson and her husband, Dr. Mark Nelson, of Dallas, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Melba and John Presley of Roland. Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, October 19, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Fred Oaks officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM, prior to the services. Interment will be in the Nelson Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
