Martha Womack Rogers, 83, of Little Rock joined her husband, Ted, in heaven on May 21, 2022.
Born November 21, 1938 in Harrison, AR to Harold and Gladys Womack. Her father was a Methodist minister and they moved where the Lord called. She graduated from Wynne and pursued her Education degree at University of Arkansas. While attending university, she met Ted Rogers and were married shortly after graduation on May 29, 1960. They settled in Little Rock where they raised their three children.
Martha never met a stranger and enjoyed a good conversation. She also enjoyed playing hymnals on the family’s piano. As a prolific reader, she could often be found with a book and cup of black coffee. She took her role as Marmee very seriously and loved spoiling her grandchildren. A theater buff and world traveler; she was always seeking adventures.
She was preceded by her parents; loving husband, Ted Rogers; daughter, Robyn Dawn Rogers; brother, James William Womack. Remaining to celebrate her memory are her two sons, Kevin (Cara Corder) Rogers and Brian (Heather) Rogers; grandchildren, Sophia Brooks Rogers, Danica Renea Rogers, Joseph Brian Rogers, Julian Walker Corder, and Blaine Jackson Crews; extended family and many many wonderful friends.
First and foremost, she was a woman of faith. Services will be at her church home of several decades St. James United Methodist Church on Pleasant Valley Drive in Little Rock, Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10am.
