Martha Sue Jones

Martha Sue (McKelvey) Jones, beloved wife of Bro. Charles R. Jones, Sr., passed from this life into eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, February 8, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Sue was born in Dumas, AR.  She retired from the Army Corp of Engineers as a Civilian Budget Analyst for 26+ years (1975-2004).  Sue's parents,  Mack Paul McKelvey and Muriel (Chism) McKelvey, brother-in-law, Edward A Burbage, Jr. and niece, Jessi Lynn Burbage preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles R. Jones, Sr., North Hills Baptist church Pastor of Church Ministries, in Sherwood, AR, where both are members.  She is also survived by children Charles Ray Jones, Jr., his wife Elizabeth of Butler, MO; Teresa Mechelle Fenton of El Dorado Hills, CA; and adopted daughter in the Lord, Nolvia Caceres Zuniga and husband Denis, of Comayaguela, Honduras, C.A.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  Sue is also survived by her five sisters:  Mackie McKelvey, Marjorie Pennington, Paula Gillin, June Burbage, all residents of Sherwood, AR and Patricia Corder of Smithville, AR; and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces/nephews.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 17, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at North Hills Baptist Church, 9618 Hwy 107, Sherwood, AR, 72120.
