Martin Louis Feeny, Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on September 22, 1942, in Magnolia, Arkansas, Martin lived a life filled with service, love, faith, and joy.

He proudly served in the United States Navy, where he received the National Defense Service Medal. After his military service, he made significant contributions to his community through his work as a janitorial supervisor and warehouse manager in several medical facilities. Martin’s dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic were hallmarks of his character.

Education was important to Martin, and he graduated from Southern State College, nurturing a lifelong love of learning. He was an avid reader who enjoyed spending quiet moments with a good book, always eager to gain knowledge and reflect on what he read. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Martin faithfully followed his team and enjoyed cheering them on each season. He also took great pride in his computer room at home, one of his favorite places to spend time. When guests came to visit, he would insist they step inside so he could show off his latest computer creations, finding genuine joy in sharing his projects and his enthusiasm for learning.

Martin was deeply committed to his faith and missions work. He traveled to Romania on a mission trip where he and his group focused on serving and helping with reconstruction efforts, embodying the love of Christ through their actions. These acts of service opened many opportunities to minister and share the teachings of Jesus, a calling Martin embraced wholeheartedly. He was known for his unwavering faith and his eagerness to share God’s love with others.

Martin’s love for music and life was evident, especially in the joyful hours he and his beloved wife, Patricia, spent country western dancing in their earlier years. Those who knew him fondly recall the moments he shared with residents at Fox Ridge, often getting up to dance and bringing smiles to their faces. His zest for life extended to his physical fitness, maintaining his strength well into later years—often proudly demonstrating that he could still do push-ups.

Together with Patricia, his loving wife of 40 years, Martin enjoyed many vacations, including trips to their cherished El Vado Ranch in New Mexico and a favorite bed and breakfast in Mountain View, where they found peace and comfort in nature and time together.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and connection and is survived by his son, Christopher Feeny of Van Buren, Arkansas; step-daughters, Paula Parish and her husband Lenny of Donaldson, Arkansas, and Renee Donnelly and her husband Mike of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren Madison Feeny, Mason Feeny, Stacey Parish and her husband Ryan, Taylor Hethcox and her wife Sarah, Brittany Milligan, and Josh Donnelly and his wife Lori; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Feeny and his wife Kathy of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his sister, Ann Roberts and her husband “Little” Johnny of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved Martin deeply and will miss him always.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Louis Feeny, Sr. and Lillian Avys (Dees) Feeny.
