Marvin Collie, 77, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025. Born on April 23, 1948, Marvin lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and an unmistakable charm.
A proud U.S. military veteran, Marvin served honorably in Vietnam, and later devoted decades of loyal service to Dreamline in Cabot. He was known for his unmatched work ethic, creative mind, and hands that could fix or build just about anything.
Marvin was a natural tinkerer and an avid gardener, who loved sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. He found joy in working with his hands and had a knack for solving problems with his signature home-grown ingenuity. He had a deep love of history, a sharp sense of humor, and a sarcastic charm that endeared him to those around him. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and the impact he made will honor his memory for years to come.
Marvin is survived by his beloved wife, Deanna Collie; his children, Kevin Collie (Kathy), Chad Collie (Yuri), and Amy Humes (Chris), James Nelson (Monica), Andrew Nelson, Chris Nelson (Amanda); sixteen grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his brothers Tom Collie, Jack Collie (Donna), and Adam Collie (De); and many friends and extended family members who will miss his stories, laughter, and generosity.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Smith Beebe Funeral Home (404 W Dewitt Henry Drive).
