Mary Ann Jane Watson

Mary Ann Jane Watson, age 77, of Kirby, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

She was born on January 22, 1949 in Newberry, Florida. Mary was the daughter of James Martin and Edna Sasser, She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers; Clayton Martin and George Martin; her husband, Hughy Watson; and her son, Stephen Poole.

On June 16, 1973, Mary married the love of her life, Hughy Lloyd Watson. She was Methodist in her faith. She loved fishing, cooking, and sitting on her porch and watching the birds. Most of all, she loved being Nana not only to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren but to everyone she met. Mary was a wonderful wife, momma, nana, sister, aunt, and friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laura Watson and Aradellia (Warner) Wilder; her son, Daryl Poole; her eight grandchildren, Dylan, Austin (Kelly), Trivett (Reed), Lloyd (Amy), Makayla, Cayden, Nicole (Hayden), and Dana; her 8 great-grandchildren; her two brothers, Lewis Martin and Richard Martin; her sister, Molly Purtee; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.
