It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Michelle Babineaux, who left this world on January 6, 2026, at the age of 59 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on October 3, 1966, in Ringgold, Georgia, Mary was a beacon of light and love to all who were fortunate to know her.
Mary dedicated her professional life to the Cabe offices and the C. Louise and Mary C. Cabe Foundation as an Office Manager, where her organizational skills and warm spirit enriched the lives of her colleagues and the community alike. Her commitment to her work exemplified her strong character and deep compassion.
Beyond her career, Mary was a woman of many passions. She cherished the excitement of Atlanta Braves baseball games, the thrill of traveling to new places, and the serene comfort of listening to music. She found joy in beach trips, embraced the wonder of storm watching, and treasured the holidays spent with her beloved family, creating memories that will live on in their hearts.
Mary leaves behind her cherished son, Joshua Babineaux, and his partner Becky Bingham of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, along with her adored grandchildren, Peyton Bingham and Preslee Harrison of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her loving brother, James Higgins, and his wife Barbie of Johnson City, Tennessee, and her devoted sister, Roxanne Mullins, and her husband Robert of Dalton, Georgia; and a host of neices, nephews and friends. These family members and friends will forever carry her spirit with them, honoring her legacy of kindness and joy.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Blackwell and Mary Ruth Brewer, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms. The love they shared will continue to inspire and guide all who remember her.
A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s vibrant life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Gurdon, Arkansas. All who knew her are encouraged to come together and share in the love and remembrance of an extraordinary woman.
