Mary Jo Moore Bentley, 84, died peacefully at her home Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was surrounded by her family as she ascended into heaven.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer Wesley Moore and Grace Mae Carbaugh Moore and two brothers, Tom and Wesley Moore. Mary Jo is survived by her husband of 67 years, Roy "Bill" Bentley; two sons, Steve (Rhonda) Bentley and Mark (Kathy) Bentley, both of North Little Rock; brother, Calvin Moore of Hot Springs; five grandchildren, Justin (Hannah), Mary Katherine, Kelvin, Joanna and Eric Bentley; and one great-granddaughter, Harper Elizabeth of North Little Rock.
Mary Jo was born in Little Rock on December 11, 1932. Mary Jo met the love of her life at North Little Rock High School in the spring of 1949 and they were inseparable from that time forward.
Mary Jo entered into her life's calling of being a wonderful, loving mother and homemaker when their son Steve was born in 1956. Mark joined the family in 1959. Mary Jo cherished her time with family and loved her role at Nana.
Mary Jo and Bill are active members of Park Hill Baptist Church, where they loved their view from their seats in the balcony.
A visitation is scheduled for 9:00 a.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Park Hill Baptist Church with a celebration of life service at 10:00 a.m., at the church with Rev. Ken Shaddox officiating. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
