Mary Burleson
Mary Edith Burleson, 88, was born in Carden Bottems, Yell County, Arkansas on June 27, 1923 to Earnest and Lois Eason and died August 16, 2011 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Delbert Burleson, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her two sons; Danny Burleson (Mary Anne) and Russ Burleson (Betty) of Little Rock and one daughter; Carolyn Guskiewicz (Riley) of Sarasota, Arkansas, four sisters: Katherine Burleson, Virginia Harness, Juanita Busbice, and Anne Turner; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Lifeline Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Scott Brown for his care, kindness and patience and to the staff of Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be held at Huson Funeral Home, 6400 Mabelvale Pike Road, Little Rock, Friday, August 19 at 1:00 with John Gipson officiating.
