Mary Catherine Corder

Listen to Obituary

Mary Catherine Corder (Mann) fell asleep in death peacefully at home on August 5, 2026. She was affectionately known as “Grindy”, “Granny” and “Big Bird”.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Julia Mann; her husband, John Corder; her brother, L. D. Mann; and one granddaughter, Alissa Cruz.

She is survived by her loving sister Nancy Sutterfield (George); her daughters, Kaye Heiserodt, Charlotte Wooley, and Jean Greer (Todd); and her son, Jason Corder (Heather). She was blessed with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was known for her kind heart, warm smile and the love she showed to her family, friends and congregation. She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love.

Catherine firmly believed in the Bible’s promise of the resurrection, when those sleeping in death will be restored to life on a peaceful paradise Earth (Revelation 21:3-4). We eagerly look forward to the day when we welcome her back into our arms.
