Mary Crick

Mary Alice Manier Crick passed away due to complications from Parkinson's Disease and dementia on November 26, 2017. She was kind, gentle, modest and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary was born to the late Nina Ruth and David Lemuel Manier on August 25th, 1932 in Jacksonville, Alabama. At the age of two months her family moved to a farm in Eagleville, Tennessee, where she lived out her childhood. She was the third of four children and was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Avaritt (Ike) and her brother, Edward Manier (Marie) and is survived by her sister, Hazel Carlton (Charles). She leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Robert Crick, and four daughters, Brenda CarlLee (Lewis), Rhonda Prewitt (Richard), Sandra Morgan and Linda Collins. Others whose lives she greatly impacted are her six grandchildren, Jennifer Prewitt-Freilino (Polly), Trey Prewitt (Amber), Tripp Morgan (Kimberly), Jenny Gill (Andrew), Allie Morgan, and Tyler CarlLee (Sheena), and three great-grandchildren, Lillie Prewitt-Freilino, Beckham Prewitt and Murphy Morgan.

Mary had a passion for learning and after raising her four daughters she entered college at UALR and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked at St. Vincent Medical Center for 15 years and retired in 1994. During her retirement she volunteered at the gift shops at Doctor's Hospital and St. Vincent Infirmary. She and her husband enjoyed traveling across the United States in their RV and were able to visit every state with the exception of Alaska. Mary was happiest while outdoors experiencing nature. She particularly loved birds, flowers and gardening. Mary will be deeply missed by her family.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation to celebrate Mary's life on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), (501)224-2200.
