Mary Lou Cruz, 64, of Benton, Arkansas passed away September 13, 2018. She was born February 19, 1954 in Laurinburg, North Carolina to the late Ernest and Ivy (Paul) Barber.
Mary Lou was of the Baptist faith. She was a superhero to her family and always put others first. Mary Lou enjoyed going to the casino. Playing penny slots at the penny arcade was her favorite! Mary Lou's family describes her as being energetic, vibrant, and outspoken...aka "a spitfire!".
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; three sons: Juan Jose Cruz, Miguel Cruz, and Robert Barber; and sister, Faye Giles.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Diana Lopez and husband Jose of Franklin Park, Illinois and Delia Riley of Shannon Hills, Arkansas; son, Jose Cruz; grandchildren: Jessica Cruz, Alex Cruz and wife Scherena, Arianna Cruz, Felicia Martinez, Jasmine Cruz, Daniel Martinez, Brian Maturan, Shyla Hill, Natalia Burton, Tatiana Hill, Chloe Cruz, JJ Cruz, Noah Cook, Zachary Thompson, and Aiden Barber; siblings: Wanda Rivera, David Barber, Jimmy Barber, Billy Barber, Carolyn Robinson, LeRoy Barber, and Randy Barber; and a host of family and friends who love Mary Lou and will miss her always.
Family to hold special memorial and balloon release at 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 15 at Tindall Park in Benton.
