Mary Jean Burdick Dillahunty, 85, of Little Rock, widow of James Scott Dillahunty, died in Anchorage, Alaska on December 30, 2006. She was born on April 28, 1921 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Colonel Roy D. and Myrtle Weber Burdick. She graduated from West Virginia University, and retired from the First National Bank Trust Department. During her lifetime, she was very active in the Girl Scouts, both as a scout herself and as a leader, and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Dillahunty is survived by her sons, David Dillahunty and wife, Cheryl, of Anchorage, Alaska and Robert Dillahunty and wife, Pat, of Pinson, Alabama; her daughter, Charlotte Hampton and husband, Michael, of Guy, Arkansas; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 7, 2006, from 2-6 p.m. at the home, 404 N. Spruce in Little Rock. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 5th and Scott in Little Rock, with Rev. Scott Walters officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Anchorage, 500 W. International Airport Rd., Ste. C., Anchorage, Alaska 99518 or to Christ Episcopal Church.
