Mary Elizabeth Burford Dungan, 88, of North Little Rock passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024. 

She is survived by her son, Thomas Frederick Dungan, Jr and his wife, Dana Michelle Dungan; two grandchildren, Olivia Diane Dungan and Liam Thomas Dungan of Neenah, Wisconsin; her twin sister, Martha Louise Burford Beall of North Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Frederick Dungan and her parents, John Bryant and Sarah Milton Blackburn Burford.

Mary was a member of Central Baptist Church and former member of Park Hill Baptist Church, both in North Little Rock. Mary was devoted to volunteering in Nursing homes and Assisted Living facilities. As leader of a Caregiver’s Support Group through her church, she enjoyed sharing her caregiving experiences with other families. She considered it a privilege to share God’s love with others.

At Mary’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home is in charge of the cremation with burial at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock

She requests memorials be made to the CARTI Foundation, P.O. Box 55011, Little Rock, Arkansas 72215-9964 in honor of Dr. Lawrence Mendelsohn or to Central Baptist Church, 5200 Fairway Ave., North Little Rock, Arkansas.
