Mary Jo Hughes

Mary Jo Hughes, age 77, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away on September 13, 2025, at home.

Mary Jo was an LPN for 45 years. She loved to attend the Nazarene Church when she could but due to health issues the last few years, she was not able to and she missed it greatly. Mary Jo loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren. She loved all children, and she loved to cook for anyone.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband Frankie Hughes, her parents Joe and Virginia Witt, and brother Mike Witt.

She is survived by her daughters Rebecca (Mark) Green and Beth (Chad) Skabronski and by her sons Phillip (Melody) Hughes and Joe Hughes, and her brother James (Betty) Witt. She also had two grandchildren, Karson and Addie Mea.

A celebration of her life will be held at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, Arkansas, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. The visitation will be Tuesday the 16th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. All friends and family are invited.
