Mary Jo Anderson Lambert went to meet her Lord and Savior on October 15, 2025. She was born on September 29, 1933, to parents Loyce and Josie McMaster Anderson of Prescott, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol, their son, Phillip ("Phil"), her parents Loyce and Josie Anderson, grandparents Thomas and Alexena McMaster, and Millard and Julia Anderson.
Mary Jo is survived by her daughter, Anita ("Beth") Jameson (Larry) of Sherwood; her son Richard ("Ricky") Lambert (Carol) of Benton; her daughter-in-law, Maria Lambert of Alexander; her cherished grandchildren, Chad Jameson (Donna); Sean Jameson (Tausha); Shane Lambert (Michelle); Blaine Lambert (April Norman); Candice Clem (Jack Stanislow); Caleb Lambert (Rachel); Justin Stephens; JT Young; great-grandchildren Mason, Megan and Madi Lambert; Caden and Kinsley Lambert; Palmer Lambert, and upcoming arrival Sadie Lambert; Ashli Humphries-Headley (Taylor); Blake Jameson; Hayley Richardson; and 5 great-great grandchildren, Hailey, Christian, Jackson, Leni, and Beck.
Mary Jo met the love of her life, Carol Lambert, while in school in Prescott, AR, and they eloped at the ages of 16 and 18. At the time of Carol's death, they were 1 ½ months short of being married 60 years. They raised 3 wonderful children. Mary Jo dearly loved all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and could talk for hours about any of them to anyone willing to listen. She spent many of her earlier years going to horse shows with her husband and children. She also put a lot of love into making quilts for her loved ones, both family and friends. She loved to sew. She made shirts, dresses, majorette uniforms, and even Beth's wedding dress. Mary Jo loved going on trips and going out to eat with friends or family. She was also always up for a good shopping trip or playing games with friends, sharing many laughs and fun along the way.
Mary Jo retired from working as a clerk at the VA Hospital, then went to work at the Saline County Prosecuting Attorney's office, and later went to work as a hostess at Everett Buick GMC. She never met a challenge too great. She even took college classes at UALR in 1990. Mary Jo never met a stranger and loved visiting with people. Mary Jo was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Benton, where she enjoyed singing as part of the Morning Glories.
The family would like to thank Brittany Knowles with the Hospice Home Care of Arkansas for the care given.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the donor's choice.
