Mary "Lucille" Roberts

Mary “Lucille” Roberts, 96, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024. She was born on July 30, 1927, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Joe & Viola Atkins Crook.

Lucille is proceeded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Roberts; siblings James Crook, Clidie Davenport, and Ola Mae Bradley; and one great-grandchild Alexander Don Wise.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Rick Roberts, daughter Diane Hanks (Ronnie); step-children John Gilson, Elizabeth Hicks, James Gilson, and Esther Ashworth; grandchildren Nicole Nebling (Shannon), Shawn Roberts, Cynthia Wood, and Larry Wood II; great-grandchildren, Caleb Wise, Rebecca Wise, Rachael Wise, Ashleigh Wood, Joshua Wood, Diana Wood, Alayna Margret Wood, Hailey Nebling and Rylee Nebling; and one sister, Leona Brockington.

Lucille loved her church family at North Hills Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member. She also enjoyed her flowers and her wood fireplace. But she especially loved her family. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. A celebration of Lucille’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 9 at 10:00 AM at the Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Bayou Meta Cemetery in Jacksonville.
