Mary Nelson

Mary passed away in New Orleans, LA on September 10, 2019 after a short illness.  She was born on April 19, 1929 to Frank and Mary Ottley Budke on the family farm in Beloit, KS.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmie and her 8 siblings, Lucille Budke, Walter Budke, Albert Budke, Clara Streit, Rose Pearce, Francis Budke, Loretta (Lou) Allison, and Viola Ward.

She is survived by her daughter Clair Garcia, a sister Theresa and husband Bob Berndt, of Minnetonka, MN and a brother Bill and wife Leona Budke of Leavenworth, KS., and many nieces and nephews.

Mary loved her family, her home and gardens and her 3 cats.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church in North Little Rock.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband Jimmie in Edgewood Memorial Park, NLR.
