Mary Leoda Nicholson King

Mary Leoda (Stone) Nicholson King, 79, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away January 29, 2024. She was born February 23, 1944, in Conway, Arkansas to the late Obert Monroe and Leoda (Casey) Stone.

Mary loved the Lord with all her heart and served as a minister and evangelist for over 60 years. She led Bible studies in her home and found joy in sharing the love of Christ and His grace to everyone she met. Mary was devoted to her family and loved them unconditionally. Mary loved beautiful flowers and enjoyed spending time outdoors appreciating God’s handiwork.

Preceding Mary in death are her first husband, Kenneth Nicholson; second husband, William King; sons: Billy Rhea and Kevin Nicholson; granddaughters: Heather Hughey and Elizabeth Rhea; grandson, Steven Rhea; parents: Obert and Leoda (Casey) Stone; and son-in-law, Gregg Finch.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters: Donna Rhea Finch, Jan Darner, and Jennie Hughey; son, Eddie “Curtis” Rhea, 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother, Calvin Stone (Christy); nephew, Shannon Stone (Susan); niece, Tina Guevara (Anthony); special fur baby, Pepper; and a host of family and friends who love Mary and will miss her always.

Special thank you to Anthony Smith for his unwavering love and support.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 5:00-6:00 PM, at Sardis Community Bible Church, with funeral service, officiated by Bro. Carlton Brown, following at 6:00 PM.
