Mary Occo Merritt Ferguson

Mary Occo Merritt Ferguson entered eternal rest on June 22, 2019 at the age of 66. She was born on June 30, 1952 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Joe and Occo (Coffman) Merritt and had two siblings: Gary Merritt and Marsha Merritt. On March 29, 1980, she married Rick Ferguson; they had three children: Tara, Emily, and Alex. She and Rick lived in La Vernia, Texas for nearly three decades where they taught at La Vernia High School. Mary leaves behind many friends and family members who love her. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 1, 2019, in Hopper Cemetery with John Hall officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
