Mary E. Ragsdale

Mary Etta Ragsdale, age 91, of Hot Springs, passed away, Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

She was born on February 14, 1932, in Cedar Glades, the daughter of Porter Allen Mitchell and Laura Lillian Abbott Mitchell.  She is preceded in death by her husband, John F. Ragsdale; her parents; her sister, Rhetha M Golden; and one infant sister, Martha Mitchell.

Mary was a long-time employee of McClard’s Bar-B-Q, having worked there for 25 years.  She loved to work in her flower gardens and being outdoors watching nature bloom.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Love; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Karen Mitchell of Royal; sister-in-law, Lillian Tarter of Cincinnati, Ohio; extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2:30PM, Friday, December 15, 2023 at Cosby Cemetery in Jessieville, AR under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
