Mary Wilson, age 83, of Amity, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. She was born on May 29, 1934 at Caddo Gap, the daughter of Joe A. Guthrie and Nettie Hopper Guthrie. On August 27, 1948, she was married to Crawford Wilson who preceded her in death on July 27, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Chris Thomason. She was a member of the Blessed on the Rock Church. Along with her husband, Crawford, she owned Wilsons Mobile Service Station in Amity and operated their poultry farm. She enjoyed cooking for everyone and taking care of the needs of others. She loved being with her grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Pam and Tink Thomason of Amity, Adonna Wilson of Amity and Sandy Carloss of Hot Springs; three grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Corey Thomason, Amanda and Michael Baker and Brittney and Loren Shanek; six great-grandchildren, Rachel, Faith and Anna Thomason, Rylan Payte, and Alexis and Kolston Shanek; her brother, O. V. Guthrie of Amity; her brother-in-law, Vester Wilson of Arkadelphia; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Helms and Christine Helms, both of Arkadelphia; her lifelong friend, Betty Short of Amity; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 4, 2018, in the Jones Cemetery at Amity with Bro. Billy Thomason officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Clark, Mark Cogburn, Stan Bean, Eric Diggs, Butch Sorters and Johnny Cantrell.
