Maureen Babbitt

Listen to Obituary
Slightly more than one year ago, Maureen Suzanne Babbitt joined her heavenly mother, Eleanor Babbitt, on Mother's Day, 2018. In recognition of this holy reunion and in celebration of Maureen, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood, officiated by Father Jay Bruno, a lifelong friend. All friends, loved ones and colleagues are encouraged to attend her loving memorial.

She was born March 26, 1958 in Little Rock and passed peacefully on May 13, 2018 after a valiant battle with brain cancer. She was also preceded in death by her father, Dr. Wayne Hubert Babbitt. She left behind her sister, Holly Babbitt Abraham; her brother, Mark Babbitt; nieces, Brittney Robison and Neely Babbitt Mullins and their families; dearest friend, Amy Gray Light; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Being the daughter of a veterinarian, a love for animals and the outdoors came naturally to her. Maureen was an avid scuba diver and naturalist, and traveled widely during her life. She had a mind for business which served her well in her entrepreneurial endeavors throughout the years, most notably in her last job, her "dream job" as general manager of the Quapaw Quarter Bath House and Spa.

Maureen was always kind, gracious and thoughtful. A dedicated sister, relative and friend, she will be forever missed. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn, Little Rock, AR 72210.

Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501)224-2200. Maureen's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
