Maurine Turner Hixon age 90 of Caddo Valley died Thursday, January 1, 2009 in Arkadelphia. She was born August 3, 1918 in Winnsboro, Texas the daughter of William Andrew and Vertie Camp Turner. She was a retired supervisor for the Vasserette/Munsingwear Corp. in Arkadelphia and a member of Caddo Valley Baptist Church. Her husband, J. D. Hixon preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, United States Air Force Col. (Ret) Tommy Hixon of Warner Robins, GA; two daughters, Mary Ratliff and husband, Billy of Caddo Valley; JoAnna Talley and husband, Lynn of Williston, TN; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and former daughter-n-law, Robin Hixon of Charleston, SC.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Caddo Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Runyan and Rev. Jay Lea officiating. Interment will be in Caddo Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to Caddo Valley Cemetery Fund %John Frazier 208 E. Dodson Caddo Valley, AR. 71923.
