Maycel House Avants, age 73 of North Little Rock went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 1, 2007. She was born on March 6, 1934 to the late Jeff Fortner and Elaine Snow House.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James O. Avants of North Little Rock; son, Nick Avants (Sim) of Waynesville, Missouri; daughter, Catherine Beach (Jessie) of Batesville, Arkansas; brother, Don House (Anna Faye); and sister, Judy Lofton (Edd) of Little Rock; two grandchildren, John Avants (Nicole) of Georgia, and Laura Avants Carpenter (Chris) of Missouri; great grandson, Dillen; nephew, Chris House (Dorothy); and niece, Jennifer (David) of Conway. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Todd Lofton.
She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Park Hill Baptist Church, and will be officiated by Rev. Luke Flesher and Rev. Tom Gotcher. Burial will be in Gravel Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials should be made to Park Hill Baptist Building Fund, 201 East C, North Little Rock, AR, 72116.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
