Megan Marie Smith, 17, of Arkadelphia, died Friday, January 5, 2007 at Arkansas Children's Hospital, Little Rock. She was born August 15, 1989 at Arkadelphia. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Arkadelphia, the Junior Class at Arkadelphia High School, the Girl's Soccer Team, and the Arkadelphia Students for Christ. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Clyde O. and Annie Laurie Haltom Smith.
Survivors include her parents, Rick Smith of Arkadelphia, and Janice Rutherford Almond of Curtis; three brothers, Adam Almond of Curtis, Eric Almond of Orange Beach, AL, and Tracy Almond of El Dorado, AR; one sister, Ann Pennington of Hot Springs; and maternal grandparents, Alice Jacobs of Arkadelphia, and J. B. Rutherford of Antoine.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 at Trinity Temple Assembly of God, Arkadelphia, with Sister Mary Forsythe, Bro. Pat Spinks, Bro. Nathan Rogers, and Bro. Rick Mays officiating.
Interment will be in Richland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Marie Timothy Medical Expense Fund c/o Summit Bank
