Melva Joyce Gray

Melva Joyce Gray, known as Joyce by all who knew her, was born March 11, 1930 and departed her earthly home on November 17, 2022 to be with those who have gone before her. She was born in Cominto, Arkansas and was the middle child and only daughter to Virgle and MaeBelle Waldrup.

Joyce worked various jobs during her lifetime, from glove maker to Timex but her last and most fulfilling job was as a LPN in Benton, Arkansas. She was loved by all who knew her, guided by faith and driven by love, she lived a full and fulfilling life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood and lived in North Little Rock since 2017.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Virgle and MaeBelle Waldrup; her four brothers, James, Ira “Ted”, Donald and Charlie “Allen” Waldrup; her sons, Chris and Jay Gray; and her granddaughter, Sydney Gray. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Darrell Gray; her daughter, Katha and son Andy Gray, and grandchildren, Kathrine, Kristie, Kyrstin and Katrina.
