Melva Nelson

Melva O’Della Nelson, 80, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019. She was born October 10, 1938 in Heavner, Oklahoma to Claudie and Edna Clubb.  She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Melva is survived by her children, John Owen Nelson, Donna K. Nelson (Mark Evins); grandchild, Ian Jack Nelson Evins; siblings, Eva Lile (Sammy Jr.), Claudiette Branscum (Alvin), Peggy Kelly (Colin), Judy Sexton (Leroy), Danny Clubb (Terry) and Joey Clubb (Judy); sister-in-law, Cyndie Clubb; nieces, nephews and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Virgil and Bessie Story; husband, John R “Jack” Nelson; and her brother, Terry Clubb.

Memorials may be made to a humane society of your choice.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9th at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2019 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 12118 MacArthur Drive. Burial will follow in Edgewood Memorial Park.
