The conclusion of 84 years well lived came to Melvin Noble Brockinton on April 19, 2016. Four years following the loss of his wife of 62 years, Melvin rejoins his beloved Doris Jean. Melvin was born on June 8, 1931 in Faulkner County to the late Bruce Decator and Arra Lee Mitchell Brockinton.
Melvin and Doris Jean raised three children who survive them: Brenda Diane (Chris) Aycock, Terry Michael (Marye) Brockinton and Bruce Mandel (Carole) Brockinton. Melvin is also survived by grandchildren: Adam (Kelley) Brockinton, Beau Brockinton, Laura (Caleb) Gunnels, Mary Grace and Bruce Brockinton, and four great grandchildren: Carson, Summer, Reagan and August.
Melvin was a Past Master of Sylvan Hills Masonic Lodge #754 in Sherwood where he had been a member nearly 53 years. He was also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 22 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sumner Cemetery. Online obituary at
