Merle Allen Grubbs, age 53 of Silverhill, passed away June 4, 2013 in Silverhill, Alabama. He was born on December 9, 1959 in Eudora, Arkansas; he was the son of Margaret Grubbs and the late Robert Grubbs.
Merle was a pressman for Print X-Cel for fifteen years, and was of the Baptist faith. Merle had a passion for all types of music, and a love of History. He was a guitarist, who greatly loved his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Grubbs.
Survivors include his wife Jackie Wolfe-Grubbs of Silverhill, Alabama; his mother Margaret Grubbs of North Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter Martha Owen of Little Rock, Arkansas; son Jeremy (Angie) Grubbs of Gulf Shores, Alabama; daughter Tiffany Grubbs of Silverhill, Alabama; grandson Viktor Wolfe Grubbs of Gulf Shores, Alabama; granddaughter Destinee Owen of Conway, Arkansas; brothers Doug Grubbs of Columbus, Georgia and Harper Grubbs of Sherwood, Arkansas, and sister Sheila Grubbs of North Little Rock.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Sherwood. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance at 1400 W. Markham St., Suite 304, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.
