Michael G. Brink

March 6, 1942 — May 26, 2025

Benton

Michael Gayle Brink, born on March 6, 1942, in Bauxite, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025. He honorably served his country in the United States Army, where he distinguished himself as a sharpshooter and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Following his military service, Michael dedicated many years to his career at Reynolds in the shipping department before retiring.

Michael was a devoted family man, affectionately known as "Pops" by his grandchildren. He was a sweet, loving individual who cherished his family deeply. His love knew no bounds—once you became family, that bond remained steadfast. After the passing of his first wife, Mary Brink, Michael found a loving companion in Patsy (Thompson) Barnes-Brink, with whom he embraced an expanded family. Together, they nurtured relationships with all her family, and Michael regularly offered prayers for their safety and well-being, reinforcing the warmth and care that defined him.

Michael's life was enriched by his interests in traveling, archery, and photography. He made treasured memories through the lens of his camera and enjoyed sharing experiences with his family. A committed member of the First Pentecostals of Benton, he served on the church board for several years. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence, and he was recognized as a prayer warrior whose unwavering belief in God's possibilities guided him throughout his life, especially in his final hours.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy (Thompson) Barnes-Brink of Benton, Arkansas; daughter, Lisa Hudson and her husband Allan of Mayflower, Arkansas; step-daughters, Anita Burkett of Benton, Arkansas, Ronda Howard and her husband Ray of West Monroe, Louisiana; and step-son, Clint Barnes and his wife Robin of Benton, Arkansas. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Turner Hudson and his wife Charlee, Emily Hudson, Natalie Graff and her husband Wesley, Grace Howard, Jordan Johnson and her husband Troy, and Claire Barnes; as well as a great-granddaughter, Brynn Johnson. He is further survived by his sister, Paula Oswalt and her husband Wayne of Bryant, Arkansas, along with a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Michael was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 45 years, Mary Brink; mother, Addie Farrow; step-father, WJ Farrow; and step-sister, Lois Sky-Eagle and her husband Ted.
