Michael Perry Hurst

Michael “Mike” Perry Hurst, age 74, of Hot Springs, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

He was born on January 17, 1948, in Hot Springs, the son of Frank Perry Hurst and Lota Marie Forbes Hurst.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mike’s love of people and helping them lead him to work for Adult Protective Services with the Department of Human Services.  He loved riding motorcycles, boating and water skiing, listening to music, golfing and was a private pilot.  He visited all 50 of the United States and most of Canada while exploring his love of travel, nature, especially the forests, and the great outdoors.  He treasured his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Hurst; three children, Jeff, Michelle and Josh; five grandchildren; extended family and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, November 7, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.
