Michael Ray Turner, 75, passed away on October 21, 2026. Born on January 3, 1951, he will be remembered as a man of faith, creativity, humor, and deep devotion to those he loved.
Michael was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. He found joy in many pursuits throughout his life, including photography, painting, construction, gardening, and cooking. He also loved picking and singing, and he was especially known for telling jokes, teasing, and spending time with “the brothers.” These simple but meaningful pleasures reflected a life filled with energy, talent, laughter, and connection.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Turner; his father, Moody Desmond Turner; his mother, Mary Auldean Turner; his brother, James Turner; and his sister, Patsy Geren.
Michael is survived by his wife, Sarah Turner; and by his daughters, Jenifer and Russell Pedron, and Cortney and Jeffery Horn. He also leaves behind grandchildren Gunner Pedron, Zane Pedron, Jeb Pedron, Kanon and Destany Horn, Kaden and Jodi Horn, and Kaleb Horn. His legacy continues as well in his great-grandchildren, Millie Horn, Lainey Horn, and Bentley Horn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
He is also survived by his siblings, Jerry and Bonnie Turner, David and Vicky Turner, and Steve and Becky Turner. May the love of family, the warmth of shared memories, and the many moments of laughter he gave to others bring comfort in the days ahead.
Pallbearers will be Gunner Pedron, Zane Pedron, Jeb Pedron, Kanon Horn, Kaden Horn, Kaleb Horn, Colt Anderson, and JC Harmon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Parker, Kevin Parker, Dr. Matthew Hulsey, and Nurse Ronnie.
