In loving memory of Lt. Michael G. Roberson.
With broken hearts, we share the passing of Lt. Michael Roberson, a devoted husband, beloved family member, and dedicated public servant who departed this life on September 6, 2025 at the age of 59.
Born on April 3, 1966 in Hot Springs, Michael lived a life of service, honor, and love. He proudly served as a Garland County Sheriff's Deputy for 32 years, protecting and supporting his community he cared so deeply for. Known for his integrity, courage, and compassion, he touched countless lives both in and out of uniform. Michael also proudly served as a U.S. Marine before joining the Garland County Sheriff Department.
Michael was so much more than the uniform he wore. He was a devoted husband to Dawn who was his best friend and partner for all things. Together, they built a life filled with family, laughter, quiet moments, and unconditional love. At home, Michael was the happiest surrounded by those he loved.
To his family and friends, he was a steady presence; always the one you could count on. His laughter, strength, and unwavering love will forever be remembered.
He leaves behind his wife, Dawn, of 27 years; his son and daughter-in-law, Klay and Haley Chasteen; his grandsons, Noah and Gabriel; his father, Bruce and stepmother, Roselle Roberson; his mother, Bonnie Barnett and his stepfather who preceded him in death, Larry Barnett; as well as his siblings, Daryl and Mary Roberson, Misty and James Isom, Rebecca Davis and Lonnie Barnett; his father-in-law, Robert Gerlach; his brother-in-law, Jerry Gerlach; his sister-in-law, Belinda Furman, and many others that were loved by him and will miss his dearly.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at his home on September 22, 2025 at 4:00 pm. All who knew him and loved him, or had respect for him are welcome to join us in honoring his memory.
