Michael Wayman Thompson

Michael Wayman Thompson, 66, passed away on October 14, 2026.

Born on August 1, 1960, Michael spent his life working as a jeweler, a profession to which he dedicated many years of hard work and craftsmanship. Outside of his work, Michael had a love for hunting and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Above all, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with those closest to him.

Michael is survived by his two children, Jeffery Thompson (Lindsay) and Jennifer Thompson; his beloved granddaughter, Izzy James; his sister, Michelle Womble; and his brother, Joshua Thompson (Ginger). He also leaves behind two nieces, two nephews, three great-nephews, two great-great-nephews, and two great-great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Michael will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for hunting, and the many memories he leaves behind. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
