Michael McCaslin, affectionately known as "Mikey," passed away on April 19, 2026, age 76, in his hometown of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Michael lived a life marked by dedication, love, and service.
Michael made a distinguished career in the United States Air Force, a testament to his commitment and patriotism. His years of military service were a central part of his identity, shaping the values and deep sense of duty that he carried throughout his life.
Beyond his professional achievements, Michael was a man who cherished his family above all else. He was deeply devoted to his beloved wife, Stephanie McCaslin, to whom he was married for 20 years. Their partnership was a source of immense joy and strength. Michael was a proud father to his sons, Brandon McCaslin, William McCaslin, Derek Taylor, and Dylan Taylor (Katelyn), and a loving grandfather to Caleb McCaslin, Grace McCaslin, Nolan Taylor, and Millie Taylor. His family also included his brother, Bob McCaslin (Lana), and sister, Rebecca Fox (Stanley), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who held him in great esteem.
A constant companion in his later years was his cherished lap dog, Griz, who brought him comfort and happiness. Michael’s warm personality and loving spirit endeared him to everyone fortunate enough to know him, leaving an undeniable mark on friends and family alike.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Marguerite McCaslin, whose memory he honored throughout his life.
Michael McCaslin will be remembered not only for his achievements and service but for his unwavering love and loyalty to those closest to him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, a remarkable individual whose legacy of kindness and commitment will endure in the hearts of his family and friends.
