Mildred Ann Metrailer Buddenberg, age 97, formerly of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026, in Bloomfield, New Jersey, after living with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Robert Paul Miller, and granddaughter Caroline Grace Miller since August 2013. “Mickey” graduated from Mt. St. Mary Academy in Little Rock in 1946 and worked first as a secretary at National Old Line Insurance Company in Little Rock and later for several years as a secretary/bookkeeper for St. Patrick Catholic Church in North Little Rock. Married in 1950 to Charles Joseph “Buddy” Buddenberg, she spent the majority of her years building their home life together as a loving wife and mother, always thinking of ways to make the lives of her family and friends more enjoyable and faith-filled.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Camille Metrailer and Theresa Ruff Metrailer; siblings, Marguerite Metrailer Fransioli, Camille Metrailer, Teresa Metrailer Powers, and Joseph Metrailer; husband, Charles Joseph Buddenberg; her stillborn son, Charles Joseph Buddenberg, Jr.; and a niece, Annette Metrailer Kagy. Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Robert Paul Miller; granddaughter, Caroline Grace Miller, all of Bloomfield, NJ; plus nephews, Frederick Metrailer (Tulsa, OK), Albert Metrailer (Plano, TX), Dr. James Metrailer (Little Rock, AR); and niece, Marguerite Fransioli Bunchman (Scottsdale, AZ).
Visitation is 6:00-7:30 PM Friday, February 6, 2026, followed by a rosary at 7:30 PM, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest with her husband, the late Charles Joseph "Buddy" Buddenberg at Calvary Cemetery, Little Rock.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either St. Patrick Catholic Church, 211 W. 19th St., North Little Rock, AR 72114, or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 60 Byrd Ave., Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
