Mildred Henson, 86, of Atkins formerly of North Little Rock, passed away Monday, February 16, 2009. She was a member of Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ruth and Jack L. May of Atkins; two granddaughters and their husbands, Shellie and Harvey Sisson of Greenbrier, Jacquelin and Shawn Rooke of Atkins; three great-grandsons, Ty Sisson, Ryan and Reece Rooke; two sisters, Freda Williams and Geneva McCall; and brother, James Richards. Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Henson; two brothers, Don and Johnny Richards.
Memorials may be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 904 Autumn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
