Mildred Southerland Welch age 84 of the Curtis Community near Arkadelphia died Tuesday. She was born in Clark County October 7, 1929 the daughter of Luther and Gladys Anderson Southerland. She was past President of the Clark County Fair Association and a member of it's board for over 30 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia. She was preceded in death by her husband Neal Welch and a daughter Linda Jo Arnold.
Survivors are one daughter Suzanne Welch Hardage, one grandson, Ryan Lee Arnold (Lauren) and one great grandson, Braydyn Arnold all of Arkadelphia.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, December 28th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Travis Langley officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery near Brown Springs. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be to the Linda Jo Arnold Scholarship Fund, Clark County Fair Association, Box 725, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
